An invitation to learn more about plans for a new bio-energy facility

Beckby Biogas are drawing up plans for a new zero-carbon biomethane plant near Wragby, which will provide sustainable energy and support the local rural economy.

Beckby Biogas Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Future Biogas Limited, who are a leading UK producer of biomethane, owning and operating facilities across the country.

Biomethane is a clean alternative to North Sea and imported fossil fuel gas. It is generated using bioenergy crops from local farmers, which are grown sustainably as part of crop rotations that also produce food. Unlike some other operators, we do not process food or animal waste.

Our biomethane is injected directly into the national network, replacing fossil fuel gas and helping to cut dangerous greenhouse gas emissions.

The proposed site for our planned Beckby Biogas facility is located off the B1202, approximately a mile north of the centre of Wragby. It has been identified as a suitable location as it benefits from a gas network connection, local growing opportunities for bioenergy crops, and a variety of other factors.

We will be holding a drop-in exhibition for the community on Tuesday, 25th June at Wragby Town Hall (LN8 5QX), from 4pm to 9pm. The project team will be in attendance to answer any questions regarding the proposals.

The consultation material will also be available to view on this website from the 25th June.

Your feedback will help us as we come closer to finalising our plans, before submission of a planning application to the local planning authority for consideration.
